Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level engineer to join our fast paced engineering group. The role will be based in Gainesville, Texas, just outside the DFW Metroplex. You will have the opportunity to work in a wide range of roles including R&D, manufacturing, testing, project management and field support for our diverse oil and gas equipment product line.

Responsibilities

  • Create new electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic designs under supervision of senior engineering staff.
  • Liaison with manufacturing group to continually implement design for manufacture principles.
  • Prepare project proposals and cost estimations for customers.
  • Provide leadership and project management skills with a cradle to grave mentality.
  • Develop BOMs and production schedules for new projects.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support to customers and other departments.
  • Develop equipment testing and operational documentation.
  • Interface with vendors and assist with supply chain management tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical degree.
  • 5-10 years work experience.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Solidworks 3d CAD.
  • Design experience with hydraulic and electromechanical systems.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach to problem solving with a strong work ethic.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to develop productive, professional relationships across different departments to facilitate project success.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management.
  • ASME design and manufacturing processes
