About the role

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable wine professional to grow our presence across the Chicago area. The role focuses on both on- and off-premise accounts, including restaurants, wine bars, hotels, clubs, and independent retailers.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined sales territory
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through regular visits, phone calls, emails and other means of communication
  • Deliver engaging wine presentations and excellent customer service
  • Expand product distribution and develop key accounts
  • Identify and close new business opportunities
  • Participate in tastings, trade shows, seminars, and events
  • Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets

Skills and qualifications

  • Based in the Chicago area
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in the wine industry
  • Strong knowledge of Italian wines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • WSET certification preferred
  • Italian language is a plus
  • Positive attitude with strong follow-up and customer service skills
  • Self-starter with energy, discipline, and accountability

Position Requirements

  • Availability to attend, individual and team meetings and other sales related event at Northbrook, IL our warehouse and headquarter
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, insurance, a reliable vehicle and a good record,
  • Please note a Background check and driving record shall be requested
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills
  • Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds
