Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Role Overview This position oversees a 2nd‑shift team responsible for processing, handling, and shipping automotive products in a high‑volume distribution environment. The supervisor ensures daily targets are met while maintaining strong safety practices, consistent quality, and smooth workflow across the shift.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate shift activities to meet production, accuracy, and service goals within the distribution center.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate hourly team members; manage scheduling, task assignments, performance discussions, and corrective actions when needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor safety, workflow, and quality issues on the floor; escalate and resolve concerns to maintain a safe and compliant operation.
• Partner with HR on employee relations matters, training needs, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Support customer service and operations teams by improving processes that impact order fulfillment and overall service levels.
• Oversee shift‑related functions including safety compliance, labor planning, equipment usage, training, and general workforce organization.
• Ensure accurate handling of inventory, shipping, receiving, and material movement throughout the facility.
• Utilize ERP or warehouse management tools to track production activity, inventory status, and shipping performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing, leading teams of 10–20+ hourly employees.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching, conflict resolution, and enforcing safety and quality expectations.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities with experience improving processes, reducing errors, and addressing operational issues.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory flow, shipping/receiving, labor planning, and equipment operation.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems
• Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across HR, Safety, Operations, and Customer Service.
