Treatment Coordinator – Oral Surgery / Dental

Full-time | Monday–Friday

Based in Burlington with travel to Cambridge as needed

This is an in‑office position (not remote or hybrid)

We are seeking a Treatment Coordinator to serve as a key patient‑facing team member, helping guide patients through their treatment journey with confidence and clarity. This role is ideal for someone with prior dental or oral surgery experience who enjoys patient education, treatment planning, and financial coordination, and who takes pride in delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients throughout the treatment planning process
  • Understand doctor treatment recommendations and develop accurate treatment plans from diagnosis
  • Clearly and compassionately explain treatment options, procedures, and associated costs to patients
  • Prepare and present cost estimates and collect patient financial responsibility in a professional manner
  • Maintain and update patient insurance information accurately
  • Coordinate communication with patients and referring offices as needed to support care continuity
  • Partner closely with the clinical team to ensure a smooth, positive patient experience
  • Adhere to deadlines and prioritize responsibilities in alignment with the patient schedule
  • Answer patient questions and provide reassurance using a concierge‑level approach
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support practice operations

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience required
  • Previous dental or oral surgery experience required

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of dental and oral surgery terminology
  • Friendly, professional, and patient‑focused demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately
  • Effective problem‑solving and ability to work independently
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with clinical and administrative team members
