We are currently seeking to appoint a Project Manager for a client operating within the environmental services sector. The business delivers industrial, waste management, and remediation services across a range of complex and high impact sites and continues to grow its operational footprint.
This is a hands on, delivery focused role where you will take full ownership of projects from start through to completion. Working closely with field teams and clients, you’ll be responsible for ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining a high standard of execution across multiple moving projects. You’ll sit within a well-structured operations team but with a good level of autonomy day to day. The role offers a mix of site exposure, client interaction, and commercial involvement, so it suits someone who wants to stay close to delivery while still having visibility into the wider business.
Key responsibilities:
• Managing full project lifecycle across scope, schedule, and cost
• Coordinating field teams, equipment, subcontractors, and logistics
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining relationships
• Supporting estimating, proposals, and broader commercial activity
• Monitoring project performance, financials, and delivery risk
• Working cross-functionally with H&S, sales, and operations
• Maintaining strong safety standards across all project activity
From a profile perspective, this will suit someone with a background in environmental services, industrial services, waste management, or a closely related field, who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving, operational environment. You’ll likely have a few years of experience managing projects end-to-end, with a solid understanding of how work actually gets delivered on site, rather than purely from a desk. The role requires someone who can deal with clients confidently, stay on top of financials, and manage field teams effectively, without needing excessive structure around them.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership and variety in their role. The business is active, growing, and commercially driven, but the environment remains practical and delivery focused. It’s not overly corporate, and you’ll be trusted to get on with the job, but with that comes accountability.
