Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, real-time ASL interpretation for undergraduate lectures, labs, and academic discussions.Facilitate smooth communication during campus events and student life activities.Collaborate closely with the Wesleyan College Student Support Services team to ensure student accommodations are met.Maintain strict confidentiality in alignment with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct and FERPA guidelines.Required Qualifications
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting or a related linguistic field.Active sign language interpreter credentials or certification valid in the state of Georgia.Minimum of 1 year of professional interpreting experience, preferably in a higher education setting.Deep understanding of Deaf culture and diverse communication preferences.Wesleyan College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
