Role Description
The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in supporting Specialized Products Company’s outside sales team by driving quote generation, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring timely follow-up on sales opportunities. This role works closely with two Outside Sales Representatives to support telecom, fiber optic, and utility customers with product selection, pricing, and order processing.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment where responsiveness and customer communication are critical.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Quote Management
· Generate accurate quotes for customers based on requests, RFQs, and purchase orders.
· Support Outside Sales Representatives by managing inbound inquiries and pricing requests.
· Coordinate with outside reps and internal teams to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical information.
· Track and follow up on open quotes to help convert opportunities into orders.
Customer Communication
· Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts when outside reps are unavailable.
· Respond to customer questions regarding product availability, pricing, order status, and delivery timelines.
· Maintain strong communication with customers to ensure a high level of service.
CRM & Sales Operations
· Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in NetSuite or CRM system.
· Assist with pipeline tracking and follow-up on open opportunities.
· Document customer interactions and quote activity.
Order Processing & Coordination
· Convert customer POs into sales orders.
· Work with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment.
· Assist with expediting orders and communicating updates to customers.
Team Collaboration
· Partner closely with Outside Sales Representatives to support territory growth.
· Participate in sales meetings and product training sessions.
· Continuously build knowledge of telecom, fiber optic, and electrical installation products.

Qualifications
Required
· 2+ years of sales, inside sales, or sales support experience.
· Strong communication and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
· Ability to manage multiple quotes and customer requests simultaneously.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Preferred
· Experience using NetSuite or other CRM systems.
· Experience generating quotes and working with purchase orders.
