HVAC General Manager in Brevard, N.C. - MAC Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our HVAC company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business, including sales, operations, service, financial performance, and team leadership. The General Manager will ensure that the company delivers high-quality HVAC services, drives customer satisfaction, and achieves profitability and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the HVAC business, including sales, service, and installation teams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set short and long-term goals, ensuring alignment with company vision and objectives.
  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of all departments, including HVAC installations, service calls, and maintenance contracts.
  • Optimize the efficiency of workflows and processes, identify areas for improvement and ensure timely project completion.
  • Manage scheduling, dispatching, and resource allocation to meet customer demands and service excellence.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, ensuring the company meets its financial targets for revenue, profitability, and expenses.
  • Analyze financial reports, identify areas of improvement, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Manage pricing strategies, cost control, and purchasing decisions to improve profit margins.
  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Drive business development initiatives to grow market share and expand customer base, including both residential and commercial accounts.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop competitive bids, close new business, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell HVAC services to existing customers.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring the team delivers outstanding service and support.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring long-term customer loyalty.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service delivery and customer experience.
  • Team Development & Management:
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of HVAC technicians, sales staff, and office personnel.
  • Create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set performance expectations, and provide regular coaching to drive employee engagement and accountability.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure the company complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including HVAC licensing, permits, and safety standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of safety programs and protocols to protect employees, customers, and property.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the HVAC industry.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager within the HVAC industry or in a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and services.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience managing financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility.
  • Sales and business development expertise, with the ability to grow customer relationships and revenue streams.
  • Knowledge of modern business operations, including CRM. Service Titan is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Compensation details: 90000-105000 Yearly Salary
