Job Description

Careerscape is hiring a Data Analytics Intern on behalf of our client, a technology services company headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This paid internship is structured for students currently enrolled in a degree program related to data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field. The role runs on a hybrid schedule, with on-site days at the West Chester office and flexibility to work remotely on other days.

The intern will work directly with the analytics team to support ongoing data projects, assist with report building, and help maintain data pipelines. This is a project-based role with defined deliverables, giving the intern measurable experience to bring to future employers. The team uses tools including SQL, Python, and Tableau in day-to-day operations.

This is a 12-week summer internship with the possibility of extension or conversion to a part-time role based on performance and business need. Interns are assigned a dedicated mentor and participate in weekly team standups. The position is open to candidates who are currently enrolled and in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning, organizing, and validating datasets from multiple internal sources
• Build and update recurring reports and dashboards in Tableau or Power BI
• Write and optimize SQL queries to pull data for business stakeholders
• Support the analytics team in identifying trends and summarizing findings
• Document data processes and maintain internal wikis for team reference
• Participate in sprint planning and team standups
• Present findings to team members at weekly review sessions
• Test data pipeline outputs and flag discrepancies to senior analysts

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field
• Familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn quickly
• Exposure to Python or R through coursework or personal projects
• Basic understanding of data visualization concepts
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
• Ability to communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats
• Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the internship period
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
