Job Description:
Our client, a health plan located in Oklahoma, is seeking a Controller to join their team. This individual will report to the Chief Financial Officer, and lead all accounting functions and guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, the general ledger, investments, treasury and statutory reporting. This position is in office and the client will provide relocation assistance.
Manages month end close, work in process reporting and general ledger.
Develops and maintains the system of internal accounting controls. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting and reporting financial data.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Coordinates quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits and tax returns.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, advising management on needed actions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Manages teams supporting all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, statutory reporting, tax and treasury functions.
Manages and monitors bank account balances to ensure appropriate working capital and cash ratios.
Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
Completes special projects as assigned by the CFO and/or VP Finance.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master’s degree (preferred)
10+ years of accounting experience, financial analysis experience (preferred)
CPA designation
Supervisory experience
Experience (preferred)
Big 5 Public Accounting Experience (preferred)
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $170K - $200K annually. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
