Your new company

Join a respected Seattle based foundation as a Chief Building Engineer and be a part of giving back to the community by overseeing a real estate portfolio based out of downtown Seattle, WA.

Your new role

As Chief Building Engineer, you’ll lead the engineering team in managing a circa 500k SF office portfolio across 18 buildings, including circa 65 residential units.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire/life safety, and automation systems
• Manage and prioritize all work orders and service requests
• Coordinate vendors, review bids, and support construction and improvement projects
• Run preventative maintenance programs
• Support property management with building security and procedures
• Review maintenance invoices and manage supplies
• Assist with budgets and capital planning
• Participate in the on‑call rotation
• Identify efficiency and cost‑saving opportunities
• Record and report monthly utility meter readings

What you'll need to succeed

• 10+ years of building maintenance experience, including 5+ years in leadership
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• 07 Electrical License
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with tenants, vendors, and team members
• Ability to safely use tools and handle physical aspects of the role
